Halloween

We had a nice outing on Halloween. We went to two different neighborhoods this year and got twice as many candy than last. Liya had no shame going to houses and yelling out "trick or treat". Scary houses and costumes did make her think twice though. Here are some pictures of them just before we were off to our adventure for candy!!!!

We still have candy to last a whole year!!

Kahaluu Watershed Trail

Lincoln and his cub scout pack went hiking this past weekend. It was nice for the boys and we all made it to the waterfalls. My youngest fell asleep going up the trail and surprisingly my middle one didn't asked to be carried (well, we were almost to the bottom going back when she realized she was tired). I on the other hand was praying that the waterfall was at the end of each bend. Oh yeah, I was the only one that fell. Yes, with my daughter in my arms, on flat ground, no holes, just regular gravel. I twisted my ankle, then tried to brace myself with my one free hand, and twisted that, so I let go of my daughter like about 10 inches from the ground. That was one of the worst things I ever did. Just watching her fall from my hands onto gravel. Oh, she is fine, me, I'm just haunted by what I did.
There were beautiful flowers and fruits (mountain apples, guava, bananas and papayas from what I've seen). My kids ate guava and mountain apples for the first time. It was a very nice hike and the waterfall was just gorgeous.

This is a mountain apple tree and the fruits are being rinsed out to be eaten.

Guava.

We show respect to the hawaiian lands, gods, spirits and waterfall by wrapping gifts with ti leaves.

wild orchids on the trails.

White ginger flowers has such a sweet fragrance.

The girls picked souvenirs of rocks, flowers and fruits. By the end of the trail, she was dragging the bag and was surprised to see what happened to her goodies. I had about 12 plus souvenirs of mosquito bites. Thanks.

Bubbles Galore

Ok, I thought about taking the girls to the beach. Didn't happen. I felt bad so I threw them in the jacuzzi. They like bubble bath so I threw in some shampoo. This is the part where I need to explain myself. I don't usually use the jacuzzi (about twice since we built the house) so I didn't think of the jets making the bubbles increase to the fullest amount. Poor girls. They liked it but was swallowed when they slipped or sat in the tub. My bad.

Yes there actually is water in there somewhere.

They had there fun and I jumped in after. Couldn't resist. Ahhh, nice and warm.

An Island tour

My son went for an Island tour with his aunt and her boyfriend this past weekend. I am kinda nervous when it comes to small things and being in the air at the same time so I passed this once in a life time opportunity. He really enjoyed the ride while I was praying for they're safety on earth. These are some of the awesome pictures he took on his iphone. I was amazed how it turned out. Enjoy.

This is in Koolina where they are building a Disney Hotel I think on the west side of Oahu.

Beautiful. I am so happy to live on an Island of Aloha.

Catching up

The kids are growing so fast. My camera can't keep up. I try to take things day by day but my camera pulls me back and let's me look at yesterday. Well, it feels like yesterday but the pictures are dated well past.

My days are long but it goes by so fast. There's so much to do in a day that sometimes I don't relax with my kids and just enjoy the time with them. I think they need to teach me how to be a kid again. I don't want to miss they're childhood. But it's going by like a click on a camera.

Lincolns 9th birthday

It was a small birthday party for Lincoln but he enjoyed himself. We took him to Dave and Busters for lunch and he pretty much spent all his money on one game. He even asked the person he was playing with to slide his card on his side. And that person did!! Thanks. He got all lot of talking too though. Lincoln picked a sushi bar to eat dinner but we ended up going without him. He rather stick with his friends than come home so we left. It was a very emotional day, good and not so good. He is a "tween" now so I need to understand that he will test more boundaries. It's hard for me to let him make decisions that I know are not so well thought out. I am here to guide him. That thought keeps on going through my mind. Sigh. Happy Birthday my tweener son. Love you.

I'll try this again

How time flies... It's been too long but surely it has been a very satisfying journey. We moved, a while ago, but still in the settling stages on the house. I think I moved the furniture downstairs 5 times and still not quite homey. Upstairs is quite cozy though. No pictures. Just an update. Maybe soon if I keep this up. My children. Sigh. A very long sighhhhhh. Love em. I am doing this blog to hopefully show them how unique they are. Their journeys and accomplishments are meant to be recapped in detailed journals. As years go by, I hope this blog will take them back as it was yesterday and also see how much they have touched my life with their love and laughter, happy and not so happy times. As in every parent, my love for them will never dissipate, but grow from both our experiences through journey. Liya, my 2 year old, is on my lap trying to get comfortable as she tries to wake up from a very long nap. Her arms around my shoulders comforts me as I try to type. She is fighting a cold so she persists to be nursed quite often. Lincoln went to soccer practice with dad and Alexa. Its a quiet house right now. I should've went with them.
